John Curwen-Walker

John obtained his Law Degree at Melbourne University and resided at International House where he enjoyed meeting other students from around the world.

He commenced practice as a Solicitor in Ballarat over 40 years ago and has extensive experience in conveyancing (sale and purchase of vacant land, housing and commercial property), Probate, Wills and Powers of Attorney.

John is a long standing member of the Ballarat Lions Club and in the past has held executive positions in the Ballarat Yacht Club and the Ballarat Foundation. He is an avid fisherman, was a keen yachtsman and enjoys gardening, outdoor life and travelling.

David Eldridge

David joined Curwen-Walker & Co as a partner in 2016. He has been involved with a number of Ballarat Firms, including Victoria Legal Aid (VLA), Jeremy Harper & Associates and then as a sole practitioner. A Horticulturist by trade, David brings a practical balance to his expertise.

David studied Law at the Australian National University while running a gardening business in Canberra. Upon admission in 1997, David and his family moved to country New South Wales where he worked in a general practice for 7 years. David was then recruited to VLA when its Ballarat office first opened in 2005.

While with VLA David achieved specialist accreditation in Criminal Law. In 2008 David was appointed to the Mental Health Tribunal where he continues as a Legal Member. Now with Curwen-Walker & Co, David adds conveyancing, wills and business law to his already extensive legal capacity.

Tom Sullivan

Tom has more than 13 years experience in the law. Before joining Curwen-Walker & Co, Tom practiced exclusively in Family Law in Ballarat and before that in the Northern Territory. Before being admitted as a solicitor Tom worked in the judicial chambers of the Family Court of Australia and as a Deputy Registrar in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria.

Tom has worked on significant complex matters in both the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

Tom provides practical legal advice in the following areas:
