Tom Sullivan

Prior to joining Curwen-Walker Lawyers Tom practiced exclusively in Family Law in Ballarat and the Northern Territory. Before being admitted as a solicitor Tom worked in the judicial chambers of the Family Court of Australia and as a Deputy Registrar in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria.

Tom has broad experience in family law and has worked on significant complex matters in both the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

Tom provides practical legal advice in the following areas of Family Law:

  • Property settlements
  • Parenting disputes
  • Complex property disputes
  • De Facto Relationships
  • Relocation matters
  • Superannuation splitting
  • Binding Financial Agreements
  • Divorce
  • Intervention orders

Tom also has extensive experience in providing advice on Estate matters including Part IV claims and estate planning.

John Curwen-Walker

John commenced the practice of law in 1968 after completing his law degree at Melbourne University.

Commencing practice as a Solicitor in Ballarat over 50 years ago, John has extensive experience in:

  • Conveyancing (sale and purchase of vacant land, housing and commercial property)
  • Probate
  • Wills
  • Powers of Attorney.

He is a long-standing member of the Ballarat Lions Club and in the past has held executive positions in the Ballarat Yacht Club and the Ballarat Foundation.

John is an avid fisherman, was a keen yachtsman and enjoys gardening, outdoor life and travelling.

Cindy Halliwell

Prior to being admitted to practice law, Cindy had a diverse career spanning several industries, including the airline, finance, and higher education sectors. In addition to a legal qualification from Deakin University, Cindy also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and brings a wealth of business and customer service experience to the firm.

Cindy provides legal advice regarding the following Family Law areas:

Stacey Harris

Prior to joining Curwen-Walker Lawyers, Stacey worked within the mining industry in the Northern Territory. During her time in the mines, she gained valuable office, people and accounts management knowledge.

Stacey has joined Curwen-Walker lawyers with over 10 years of office management experience. As part of her role, Stacey effectively manages and facilitates resolutions with regards to issues that may arise with relation to the running of the practice and ensures a smooth day to day operation.
